As educators from the US, we will be traveling to visit schools in Cambodia. We will be teaming up with "Caring for Cambodia", an organization which works with several public schools in the area. The literacy rate in Cambodia is at a concerning low percentage. One of their current projects is a collaboration between them, USAID and RTI, which focuses on early literacy in the Khmer language. As part of this effort, Caring for Cambodia is printing and distributing early readers for preschool, first grade, and beyond. We are happy to be part of this effort. Let's see how much over the initial amount we can get to deliver even more books to the schools we will be visiting!
